Georgina Gratrix, a South African contemporary artist, is known for her bold, impasto oil paintings. Born in Mexico City and raised in Durban, she earned her BAFA from Michaelis School of Fine Art. Her vibrant still lifes and distorted portraits challenge tradition, often featuring pop culture figures and social commentary. Gratrix's work has garnered international recognition, with exhibitions worldwide and prestigious awards, including the Discovery Prize at Art Brussels in 2018
